Cheer is in the (Open) Air: Visit the 2020 Downtown Holiday Market

Though the holiday season is upon us, there is still time to do a spot of last-minute shopping at the 16th Annual Downtown Holiday Market.

A District favorite, this open air market is running through December 23 from 12pm-8pm daily (between 7th and 9th St NW, directly on F St NW). Sprawling two blocks on F St NW across from the Smithsonian American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery, patrons can take advantage of this socially-distanced holiday shopping experience to find one-of-a-kind gifts, crafts, and snacks. More than 75 artisans and boutiques are showcasing their clothing, jewelry, paintings, textiles, gift foods, and more amongst widened aisles, providing a veritable smorgasbord of items to choose from. Enjoy food, festivities, and entertainment while you browse the wares, including the ARTECHOUSE DC XR Installation (a Mixed Reality Activation) and the Holiday Market Screen. With virtual music performances, holiday movie screenings, and Saturday Morning Theater Shorts from the National Theater, there is something for people of all ages and interests. But if there are too many options to choose from, gift certificates are also available for purchase for those who want to give a special gift. With seasonal entertainment nightly and myriad local crafters, the 2020 Downtown Holiday Market continues to be a DC staple even amidst challenging times. Visit this charming market to support small businesses affected by Covid-19 and to help rejuvenate downtown DC.
